George Paul Eaton
Mr. George "Paul" Eaton, 85, of McPherson, passed away on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 while in the company of family members at Cedars House, McPherson, Kansas.
Mr. Eaton was born in Union, Nebraska on August 11, 1924, the son of the late Robert and Florence (Hill) Eaton.
He attended Percival, Iowa schools and graduated from Percival High School.
He attended First Christian Church McPherson, KS 67460.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII
He was a Professional Truck Driver for Continental Aluminum, and later retired as a truck driver for Certainteed Corporation, McPherson, Kansas. He was a member of the American Legion Post 24 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715 both of McPherson, Kansas
He was a former member of the McPherson Saddle Club.
George Paul Eaton was united in marriage to LaVonne Campbell on May 24,1980 at the Monitor Church of the Brethren, rural Conway, Kansas.
Survivors include: wife, LaVonne of the home;brother-in-law and sister-in-law,Verlin & Julia Campbell of McPherson, Kansas; niece, Justina Kay Campbell of Topeka, Kansas; nephew, Laurie D. Campbell of McPherson,Kansas; and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John
Friends are invited to call Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Funeral Home, with the family present.
Graveside Service at McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, KS, at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 8th, with Dr. John Gran,Sr. officiating. Military rites will be performed by members of the American Legion Post 24 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715, both of McPherson, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McPherson County Humane Society McPherson, KS or First Christian Church or Hospice of Reno County.

Vonnie, Sorry to hear of our loss. We will always have great memories of the time we spent with him at Rodeo time, and my memories of fishing and hunting with him and Dad. May God receive him, fishing pole in hand, ready to guide him to the nearest fishing hole.

Vonnie and family, I am so sorry to here of Uncle Pauls passing. I will always remember how nice he was to us kids when we would come to visit. May God give you peace and comfort in the days to come.

Vonnie, so sorry to hear of your loss. I have so many fond memories of him as I was growing up. I'll always remember the good times with him and cherish them. May God give you comfort that he's at rest now.

Paul was an awesome uncle. I have fond memories of him taking us fishing and to the rodeos when we were kids.

Vonnie, Uncle Paul will be greatly missed. He always had a way of making me smile. He was a really man.
