Charles H. "Charlie" Jackson

Charles H. "Charlie" Jackson, 72, of McPherson, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas.

Charlie was born in Fulton, Tennessee on March 25, 1937, the son of Herbert and Ruth Petty) Jackson.

He graduated from Fulton High School, Fulton, Tennessee

He was employed as a Correction Corporal at the McPherson County Law Enforcement Center, McPherson, Kansas.

Survivors include his devoted partner Mary Jane of McPherson, Kansas; two daughters, LaQuita Geis and husband, Rocky, of McPherson, Kansas, and Lisa Nelson and husband, Jim, of Topeka, Kansas; a granddaughter Jennifer Loy and husband, Stephen, of Topeka, Kansas; three grandsons, Rick Geis of Kansas City, Missouri; Kyle Nelson of McPherson, Kansas, and Jared Nelson of Topeka, Kansas; two great grandchildren, Tyler & Emily Loy of Topeka, Kansas; a brother, John Jackson and wife, Linda, of Fulton, Tennessee; two nephews, David Jackson and wife, Jill, of Tennessee, and Scott Jackson of Tennessee; and two great nieces, Johnna and Ahley Jackson of Tennessee; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.

Funeral Service will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 with Father David Lies officiating.

Interment will follow in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the DARE Program, both of McPherson, Kansas in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid Street, McPherson, KS 67460.

So sorry to hear of your father's death. I still remember you being at mother's funeral and appreciated seeing you. I won't be able to attend, but know that I am thinking of you all!
