Mrs. Beth N. Roe

Mrs. Beth N. Roe, 87, of McPherson, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at McPherson Care Center in McPherson, Kansas.

Mrs. Roe was born in Salina, Kansas on December 13, 1922, the daughter of Chester A. and Edna E. (Critchfield) Cassell.

She graduated from Salina High School in Salina, Kansas

She was a member of First Christian Church in McPherson, Kansas.

She worked as an office manager at Kansas Cylinder Head in McPherson, Kansas.

She was the widow of James Westley Roe. They were married on May 20, 1945 at Salina, Kansas. He died on June 30, 1998.

Survivors include her daughter Janet Tuell, and husband Doug, of McPherson, Kansas; two sons, Stephen Roe and wife, Barbara of Galva, Kansas, and Ronald Roe of McPherson, Kansas; five grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, a grandson, Shawn B. Tuell, one sister, Faith Hronek, and one brother, Ardell Cassell

Visitation will be on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas.

The funeral service will be at Glidden - Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010 with Dr. John Gran, Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow at McPherson Cemetery McPherson, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be given to CASA or First Christian Church, both of McPherson, Kansas, in care of Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid Streeet, McPherson, KS 67450.

My son was "Miss Beth's" lawn mowing boy for a couple of years. She was always very kind to him and gave him exotic cold juice to drink! What a nice lady.
