I had lost track of Marva, but we hung out in the studio areas at WSU back in the day. I was thinking of her and wondering if any of her work was being exhibited, so I looked on line, and ended up here.
The world was a better place with Marva in it and I will miss her.

I was just told about Marva's passing. Thinking about her just makes me smile. Shes in her version of heaven telling them how it needs to be done. She was a very special person, loving, talented and intelligent. She was always quick to laugh. She was so talented, a writer, an accomplished artist, a nurse and an educator. Marva loved her friends and they loved her. God speed Marva. You are sweet memories.

I worked with Marva for many years at Riverside Hospital. We were also roommates for a year. We had many good times but had lost contact. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sympathies to the family.

Prayers for her family. We attended Phillips University together and recently got reacquainted. Her Phillips family is very sad.
