Mark Douglas Kennedy

Mark Douglas Kennedy, 68, of McPherson, Kansas passed away at 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2022 at his residence. Mark was born in McPherson, Kansas on January 14, 1954, son of Eleanor Marie (Erickson) and Cleo Leon "Bill" Kennedy. Mark attended Lincoln Elementary School, Park School, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson Senior High School, McPherson, Kansas in 1972. Mark attended New Gottland Lutheran Church in McPherson. Through the years Mark worked in maintenance at N.C.R.A, McPherson, Kansas until he retired. He then worked for Hazelton Farm, McPherson, Kansas in many capacities. Mark was a long time member along with his father of the McPherson County Bass Club. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved being outdoors, grilling, and cooking, helping people, gardening, being part of the Boy Scout Community Troop 133 and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his siblings, Colleen Bruce and her husband Dan, of Galva, Kansas., Jolene Kennedy, of Dexter, Missouri and Scott Kennedy, of McPherson, Kansas; other relatives, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Glidden - Ediger Chapel in McPherson, Kansas. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at New Gottland Lutheran Church Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas with Pastor Wally Bunk officiating.
