Mary M. Wells, 80, of Inman, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 at Heartland Haven, rural Inman, Kansas. Margaret was born in rural Deer Creek, Oklahoma on July 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Evelyn Hope Nallore (Webster) and William Henry Currier.She attended and graduated from Deer Creek High School, Deer Creek, Oklahoma.Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church in McPherson, Kansas. She was a member of the Martha Circle of the church. Through the years Margaret was a homemaker, was a secretary for the Logan, Kansas school system; did bookkeeping for Carpenter Manor in Smith Center and Rush County Nursing Home in LaCrosse, Kansas; and worked in the county treasurer's offices in Rooks and Sumner Counties. Margaret Currier was united in marriage to Robert Howard Wells on December 24, 1950 in Rural Grant County, Oklahoma. Robert died on May 14, 2003. She is survived by her children: three sons Steve (Lana) Wells, of Springfield, Nebraska; Jim (Celia) Wells, of Great Bend, Kansas; and Jeff (Cindy) Wells, of Junction City, Kansas; two daughters Lynn (Steve) Hilgers, of McPherson, Kansas; and Lori (Ed) Feldkamp, of Manhattan, Kansas; three sisters Dorma Lou (Bill) Kindle, of Houston, Texas; Judy Currier, of Houston, Texas; and Donna (Lloyd) Garner, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; two brothers Raymond (Sandy) Currier, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and Thomas (Joyce) Currier, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren - Nikki, Travis, Trent, Taryn, Matt, Molly, Mike, Lacy, Kyle, Megan; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert; a grandson, Trevor Wade Wells; and a brother, Robert E. Currier, Friends are invited to call Friday, February 1st, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, Kansas. The funeral service will be at Glidden-Ediger Chapel, McPherson, KS, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1st, 2013 with Reverend Karen Rice Ratzlaff officiating. The final resting place will be in McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Harden Hospice or Heartland Haven. They may be sent to Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, 222 W. Euclid Street; McPherson, KS 67460.
